Who we are

Nabea Family Youth Services (NFYS) Short term residential treatment program was founded with a singular mission: to give children and Nonminor Dependents (NMDs) the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive. Our organization was born out of a deep commitment to supporting overlooked communities, ensuring that every child, regardless of their past, has access to the tools and resources they need to build a brighter future.

Founded by a lifelong learner, nurturer, and advocate, NFYS was created by someone who has spent their life in healthcare, education, and community support. With a background in nursing and a passion for empowerment, our founder has dedicated themselves to understanding the complexities of the human experience and advocating for marginalized groups. Our commitment to healing—both physically and emotionally—led to the creation of NFYS, a space where young people can heal from trauma and develop the skills, confidence, and resilience to shape their futures.

At NFYS, we believe that every child and NMD deserves a chance to be seen, be heard, and be supported. Our trauma-informed approach, combined with a focus on cultural relevance and individualized care, ensures that our services meet the unique needs of each individual. We are proud to stand as advocates for those who need it most, offering a safe space where healing and growth can take place.
